    This position Is responsible for providing technical support and advice regarding the company’s current payroll systems and ensuring proper maintenance and availability of the systems.

    Qualifications / qualifications

    • Advanced skills in payroll computer systems, including payroll software and time and attendance systems.
    • Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, policies and agreements relating to payroll administration, compliance issues, segregation of duties, current trends and developments in payroll.
    • Statistical and forecasting methods used in payroll analysis and management.
    • Strong configuration and integration knowledge with Kronos Workforce Central Version 7 and up.
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate work methods, design and implement ‘best practice’ payroll systems and procedures. Effective utilization of computer equipment and software to perform duties.
    • Analysis of payroll data and practices, applying relevant laws, regulations and principles.
    • Experience with payroll and time and attendance upgrades.
    • Ability to train others in specialized payroll practices and procedures.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Good analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Willingness to travel.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Responsibilities / responsabilités

    • Configuration of Kronos to comply with relevant acts, regulations, policies and agreements relating to payroll administration, compliance issues, segregation of duties, current trends and developments in payroll.
    • Analyze and evaluate work methods, design and implement ‘best practice’ payroll systems and procedures for the effective utilization of the software to perform duties.
    • Handles Kronos upgrades and enhancements.
    • Keep payroll staff informed of easier, quicker methods available for their use.
    • Maintain user passwords and security for payroll systems.
    • Develop and maintain interfaces, export and import files.
    • Liaison between payroll and Human Resources, IT, Finance and Corporate Accounting regarding timekeeping system issues.
    • Assist hotel with timekeeping uploads and verification.
    • Design, modify and maintain reports.
    • Research and provide recommended payroll system enhancements and implementation for efficiency gains.
    • Coordinate and assist in all payroll system upgrades.
    • Assist with paymaster training.
    • Other duties as requested.
